Get To Know H. Lee Perry
H. Lee Perry was born and raised in Savannah, Ga. Lee is a proud graduate of Savannah State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Lee is also a proud graduate of Alfred E. Beach High School. He has held several positions in the banking and finance industry. Lee has also worked in government for well over 10 years. Currently, Lee is the business manager of the Savannah State University Foundation where he manages all the private and public ventures. He has also held the position of budget manager in the Division of Business and Fiscal Affairs at Savannah State University. Prior to his career in government, Lee has had several positions in the banking industry where he has held positions as a commercial lender, private banker, and financial advisor. As a civic leader in the community, Lee has sat on several boards and advisory councils in the City of Savannah. Most notably to name a few, he has served as a board director with the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Past Board Chair of Oglethorpe Charter School where he served on the board for over 10 years, and Past President of the 100 Black Men of Savannah. Lee is also a 2009 graduate of Leadership Savannah. As a banker, Lee was appointed to the City of Savannah Banking Task Force where he participated in the city’s poverty reduction initiatives and served on the Mayoral Dollar Wise campaign. Lee has been active with Alfred E. Beach High athletics program where he and fellow graduates assist with the Walter Flowers Award. This award recognizes top athletes within the football program.
